The Old Man Who Thought He Had a Dog was the winner of the Stellenbosch University Première Theatre Festival in 2023, where it also won Best Script, Best Directing, and Best Lead Actor (Merwe van Gent), and received nominations for Best Lead Actress (Angelique Filter), Best Ensemble, as well as Best Technical Design & Execution. This production won a Kanna for Best Upcoming Artist (Angelique Filter for writing, directing and acting) at KKNK 2024 and received a Kanna nomination for Best Supporting Actress (Angelique Filter). Angelique Filter was also awarded with the Fleur du Cap Theatre Award for Most Promising Student of 2024.
