A Playshop & Performance Experiment with Marie Hahne & Gordon Evans

Missverständnisse (Eng. "misunderstandings") begins as a participatory playshop and transforms into a public performance. Together we explore the artistic and poetic potential of misunderstandings. We explore how misunderstanding may not be the end of dialogue, but the beginning of a new and unfolding way of communication. By working across languages, cultures, experiences, and beliefs, the project embraces misunderstanding as creative material, opening space for new forms of rhythm, connection, and exchange. Rather than trying to avoid misunderstandings, we put them in the spotlight. Over two sessions we will experiment with: ○ physical & object theatre ○ multilingual & immersive performance ○ performance art ○ vocal & music improvisation ○ collective composition ○ misunderstandings as artistic material The materials generated throughout the process will become a public, interactive performance presented by each group.

The process is collaborative, experimental and open. While Marie Hahne and Gordon Evans bring their expertise and prompts to inspire you, every participant shapes the final work.
