Vuka Actor 30 Day Challenge

workshop
A 30 day 'Be Your Best Actor Self' workshop and classes series led by a variety of facilitators | Initiated by Jefferson TSHABALALA and developed by POPArt

This is a 'for actors by actors' community dedicated to encouraging one another to keep investing in ourselves with the day-to-day practise that comes with being an actor.

Vuka Actor 2026 introduces a dynamic 30-Day Actor Challenge designed to ignite discipline, strengthen craft, and build professional momentum for emerging and established performers. Rooted in Theatre Arts' commitment to rigorous training and creative empowerment, this challenge invites actors to push beyond comfort zones, rediscover their artistic voice, and develop sustainable habits for a long-term creative career.

Over the course of 30 days, participants will engage in daily tasks that activate the mind, body, and imagination. Each challenge is structured to enhance consistency, performance readiness, creative confidence, and self-generated work. The programme blends technique, wellness, storytelling, and industry-focused activities to produce a holistic growth experience.

Each morning you will receive an email with the task for the day, and the upcoming activities for the week. Twice a week, classes will take place at Theatre Arts. Please note that in class sessions begin the second week of January. Until then, all sessions are at home tasks that you can do at a time in the day that is of convenience to you. Most of the in-person sessions happen in the evening from 6-7/7.15pm to accommodate people who have work during the day. there are one or two sessions that will happen in the morning based on facilitator availability.

You can join a once-off class for R100.

Once you have purchased your ticket, expect an email on the 1st January :)

This is a POPArt project, initiated by Jefferson Tshabalala.
