Not Falling

tragicomedic physical theatre
Written & Directed by Juliette ROSE-INNES | Choreographed by Amber MORGAN | Starring Katherine JONES and James STOFFBERG
PG 13

Not Falling follows Ella (played by Katherine Jones) – a young woman in her twenties who discovers that she has the same degenerative disease as her father. She navigates her relationship with her partner, who she has only been with for about a year before the disease sets in, her medical treatments with a careless doctor, and memories/fantasies of her father (all three characters played by James Stoffberg). It is about falling, and how important it is not to. It is also about love, bodies, nightmares, dreams, boxing, dancing, and sewing, medicine, and not becoming your parents (even though you are). Things happen, things begin, things end, life goes on.

We do not fail to go on living. Which is, after all, the main agenda - Emily Berry, Dear Boy (2013)
