Open Call - Seasons 2025

Are you Planning your 2025? Do you need to start thinking about your 2025 calendar? Do you have a production you are wanting to perform next year?

For 2025, Theatre Arts is running a season from February to April and May to July. We are looking for all ranges and genres of theatre including dance, theatre for the young and the very young, and experimental work. We are looking for work, not only from Cape Town but nationally as well.

Applications can include:
1. Already existing work
2. New work that is in the pipeline for 2025
3. Work that has performed at Theatre Arts in the past
4. Workshops
5. Ways of creating artist-to-artist engagement

Productions and Activities will be selected to form part of the season.

Theatre Arts will not contribute financially to the development or creation of any work, but support in the creation of new work can come through mentoring and dramaturgical advice from members of the Theatre Arts Artistic Committee: Jefferson Tshabalala, Tiisetso Mashifane, Thembela Madliki, Darion Adams and Natalie Fraser.

Travel and accommodation costs are at the expense of all companies outside of Cape Town.

All productions will receive technical support in the presentation of their work as part of the season, as well as publicity support.

Performances can range from 3 performances minimum to a maximum of 8 performances.

Productions will work on a 70/30 door split.
