ARTS PROJECT MANAGER – R20 000 (part-time once-off fee)
Period of Employment: November 15th 2023 – February 29th 2024

We are looking for a Project Manager to work with our small team on our Theatre in the Dark season which runs from the 15th – 25th February 2024.The project manager will focus on holding the overall season together, and will be working closely with both the director and technician of Theatre Arts, the publicist and the artists participating in the season.

More specifically, the project manager will be responsible for:

Drafting contracts for participating companies
Working with the season’s schedule to ensure the season runs smoothly
Liaising with artists around production needs
Working logistics with the venue manager around productions needs
Scheduling the payment of the artists
Liaising with the publicist around production information

ARTS PUBLICIST – R18 000 (part-time once-off fee)
Period of Employment: November 15th 2023 – February 29th 2024

We are looking for a Publicist to work with our small team on our Theatre in the Season that runs from the 15th – 25th February.

The publicist will focus on, amongst other things:
Liaising with the artists to gather necessary publicity information
Liaise with TA director and project manager in the writing of press releases
Strategising a publicity campaign and potential target audience for each production within the season, as well as the season as a whole
Sending out information to the press, bloggers and all relevant media
Organize radio, TV and press interviews
Working closely with the TA social media person
