TSEPO WA MAMATU | Thabo Mbeki and Other Nightmares


Thabo Mbeki and Other Nightmares performed at Theatre Arts in late 2011. It was the final draft of the play that Tsepo had first staged at Wits University and taken to the National Arts Festival in mid-2011. In March 2012 it was an invited production for the Zabalaza Festival at The Baxter Theatre.

Thabo Mbeki and Other Nightmares explores our unique South African post colonialist condition right up to the dramatic climax at the historical conference in Polokwane in 2007, where Thabo's Mbeki’s empire tumbled down and the makings of present day ANC was established.
