Where She Walked is set in a family home in the Eastern Cape’s rural landscape. The production tells the story of a father and daughter who are at odds over plans to sell their family home, and the land it’s on, to developers. Their disagreement reflects a history of competing beliefs in their family. Where She Walked uses aspects of landscape theatre and magic realism to express the underlying tensions between father and daughter. The production merges the past and present in order to facilitate the discussions in the estranged relationship.
